I know, I know, you’re all looking forward the physical home video release of Solo: A Star Wars Story this Tuesday, September 25, even more than me. And I already preordered my Blu-Ray through the Disney Movie Club, because I’m scared of anything that has too much definition, like Blu-Ray 4K Ultra HD… whatever that is.
In honor of everyone’s favorite Star Wars film to date, Disney has sent us some cool new concept art featuring some alternate looks from the Galactic Empire. Take a look!
Here we seem to have a slight variation on what Solo and the other soldiers wear into battle when he is part of the Imperial Infantry. Notice the difference in the transports that drop the AT-STs, featuring a very tie fighter looking fin on the back. Pretty cool.
This one is pretty self explanatory and really close to what we see in the final film. Just Han freaking out on the battlefield, surrounded by madness.
These soldiers and their tank that reminds me of equipment used during the Clone Wars are pretty bad-ass. Especially the soldiers, outfitted with heavy duty armor that may slow them down, but allows them to carry giant laser guns. I want this class in the next Star Wars Battlefront game!
Maybe someone was being a bit cheeky here, as this Stormtrooper could easily be mistaken for a motorcycle cop you’d find on a real road. In the film, he ends up looking more like a classic trooper, though that black armor acting as a cop’s black jacket visually is radical. Maybe a little too familiar for audiences who want to escape to a galaxy far, far away.
More or less identical to the new Stormtroopers we saw in Solo, during the great train robbery. Someone needs a bath. Aren’t you a little dirty for a Stormtrooper?
Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently available digitally, and will be available to buy at your local store this Tuesday.
