Star Wars was back amongst the buzz again after D23 and the release of the special look at Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker. We did not get much new footage for the movie in that special look, but it was enough to get tongues wagging.
Now we have learned that the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has rated a new trailer for The Rise of Skywalker. The trailer is simply titled Trailer C, but has a run time of 02:16 and has been classified as 12A, which for those in the US means roughly the same as PG-13.
There is currently no indication from any sources on when this latest trailer is expected to air, or be released online. However, we do have plenty of speculation and the current front runner is during Monday Night Football on October 14th. The reasoning for this simply comes down to The Last Jedi‘s final trailer dropping on October 9, 2017, though that is certainly nothing more than a guess, even if it becomes a good guess.
As to what kind of footage we will get in this trailer, and whether it will indeed be the final trailer (TV spots aside) before the movie hits theaters on December 20th. Chances are that this trailer will go all out to ensure fans turn up on their droves for this final installment of Disney’s sequel trilogy. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a shot of the Emperor, or even more of his voice lines to really hammer that one home to fans.
