New Poster & Synopsis Hit For Incredibles 2

If you can believe it, we’re less than a handful of months away from Pixar’s next big feature (and it’s only been a few months since Coco hit theaters!), and all we have to show for it is a measly teaser and a couple of posters.

At the beginning of this year, we got something of a teaser, but it was little more than a springboard from the original film. Now, we have a new poster for the film.

Check it:

That wasn’t all. In addition to the poster, Stitch Kingdom also released a new synopsis for the upcoming sequel. Check it out below:

In ‘Incredibles 2,’ Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack — whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Written and directed by Brad Bird (‘Iron Giant,’ ‘The Incredibles,’ ‘Ratatouille‘) and produced by John Walker (‘The Incredibles,’ ‘Tomorrowland‘) and Nicole Grindle (‘Sanjay’s Super Team’ short, ‘Toy Story 3‘ associate producer), Disney-Pixar’s ‘Incredibles 2‘ bursts into theaters on June 15, 2018.

Personally, I like the idea of Helen being brought in to help out on the more political side of things — the fact that it’s being tackled at all in this sequel is way cool, and it makes me wonder just how much of that kind of world-building will be a thing.
