Kung Fury Feature Coming…Starring Michael Fassbender

Remember that kickstarted 30-minute short “Kung Fury” that hit a few years ago? If you don’t recall? It was a ridiculous, action-packed, dumb-as-s**t short that glorified the age of over-the-top action heroes. It was jam-packed with ridiculous violence and cheesy performances reminiscent of decades gone by.

The project was the brainchild of David Sandberg (not to be confused with Shazam! director David F. Sandberg), and was a pretty damn fun watch (even if it got old after the first 10 minutes or so…). It sounds like Hollywood hasn’t had its feel of the campy, VHS-inspired feel, as we’ll now be getting a full feature version of the film.

It’s already been announced that David Hasselhoff will be joining the new film, but now Variety is reporting that a big A-lister will also star. That A-lister is none other than X-Men and Alien: Covenant star Michael Fassbender.

There’s no word yet on who Fassbender will be playing. This feature is set to be a sequel to the original short, which makes us wonder if Fassbender will be taking on the lead role, or if David Sandberg (who is set to star in the film as well) will be reprising.

How do you feel about Fassbender joining a Kung Fury feature? Let us know your thoughts down below!
