Today we are sharing some new The Rings of Power Season 2 supporting cast leaks. Now, I will say up front that these are minor pieces of casting news and therefore nothing to get too excited over. The information comes from FoF who have a very good hit rate for this show. Ergo, I’m sure these names are legit. However, as said, don’t expect to recognise any of the names or faces.

Do not expect any of these actors to be playing sizeable roles. Then again, who knows, perhaps on of these could have a breakout role in Rings of Power Season 2?
Season 2 has been filming for some time already and was not affected by the recent strikes due to it being under Equity the U.K. Union for actors. As yet we have no release date for The Rings of Power Season 2. I would have previously guessed it would arrive on Amazon Prime by this Winter. However, I am less sure of that now and I actually would not be surprised to see it slip to 2025.

With filming still taking place in the U.K. then small bits of information, such as minor casting, are still trickling out. Spoilers for this show are kind of a moot point given we know the trajectory the story must take next. However, there are still plenty of details we don’t yet know. How does Sauron get Celebrimbor to keep making more Rings? What happened to Isildur, and where is the Stranger and Poppy off to? Also is the Stranger Gandalf or one of the Blue Wizards?
However the general flow we know needs to be Sauron and Celebrimbor making the other Rings. Sauron making the One Ring and then his war on Eregion to recover the Seven and the Nine. All of this took hundreds and hundreds of years in the book mythology, but we need most of this to happen within Season 2 for the show. Let’s see if they can pull it off? I’m not so sure after Season 1, but I will give it a chance at least.
