New TMNT Live-Action Film From Colin And Casey Jost, Separate From Seth Rogan CGI Film: Do We Need It Though?

So we’re getting a new (another) TMNT live-action movie? Why? Colin and Casey Jost will co-write a live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie for Paramount Pictures, but another TMNT movie is coming out soon…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is getting another live-action reboot

Seth Rogen is producing an animated TMNT movie with Point Grey Pictures and Nickelodeon Animation Studios that will release on August 11, 2023. There have been many shows and movies with the Turtles that there’s just too much. I think we’re over-saturated with Turtles projects. Honestly, I am a little interested in Seth Rogen’s TMNT. Although, I’m not sure if a live-action film this close to the animated film coming out is a smart move for Paramount. Paramount’s 2014 and 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies did not receive great ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and received meh ratings on IMDB. The 2012 TMNT show on Nickelodeon was great, but then they rebooted it after the show ended in 2017. I didn’t even try to watch Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I guess I’m just tired of so many reboots.

We have just been bombarded with reboots of many franchises lately and it can get exhausting. It’s hard to recapture the magic from the original TMNT movies from the 90’s. I’m not counting the third one, though. The 1993 film was only okay and that’s just my nostalgia talking.

Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Galen Walker, Scott Mednick, and Andrew Form will be the producers of this TMNT movie. Also, there isn’t a release date yet.

Are you interested in another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles project? Also, are you excited for Colin and Casey Jost to be writing? Let me know in the comments below.
