New Trailer And Poster For The Acolyte Teases The Sith

We’re a little late with this one as I was busy this weekend, but we have a new trailer and poster for The Acolyte which teases the Sith. We’ve known really from day one on this show that the idea was to tell a story from the point of view of the Sith instead of the Jedi. Yet all the trailers have shown us so far as the assassin and a lot of Jedi.

Of course, we all think Mae is the Sith and that’s why she’s out killing people and going toe to toe with Jedi. However, who is ‘The Phantom Menace’ of this story, the Sith Master pulling the strings? Based on the trailer below, some fans are speculating that the Sith we see in the mask is still the apprentice, with some saying it is the master. Others are convinced Manny Jacinto’s character must be the Sith Lord as he’s imparting advice to Mae. I’ll just wait till I see the story unfold before I start speculating. I’m looking forward to this one so far.

Here is that poster to check out, and a clearer look at that Sith helmet.

In “The Acolyte,” an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….

So, there are a few rumors which might explain a lot of confusion fans are having with these trailers. I’m not going to get into them here, just filter the stories on the LRM home page by Star Wars if you wants all the potential spoilers, we’ve covered them before. However, I kinda wish I didn’t know now. If they are true that is, I think I’d have rather been surprised. So perhaps use that to decide whether you want the spoilers or not with only a month to go.

The Acolyte stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Let us know what you think of this new trailer and poster for The Acolyte and what it teases for the Sith. I think it looks good so far, what about you? Thoughts below as always.
