Wreck-It Ralph was a pleasant surprise of a film that was something of a love note to the medium of video games. Its Toy Story-esque take an arcade was engaging and charming in a way only Disney can pull off, and the film ultimately was successful enough to justify a sequel, which will be hitting theaters later this year in the form of Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.
There were plenty of clips shown off at last year’s D23, and among those clips was a standalone scene that involved the Disney Princesses. In a new image from USA Today, we get an image from that very scene. Check it out below!
As we know based on the title, the film will see Ralph and Vanellope head into the internet, which will set off a lot of fun shenanigans, and part of the fun will be the different reactions from the two, as director Phil Johnston points out.
“Vanellope’s been in the Internet all of one minute and she immediately gets it. And Ralph takes it personally as an affront to him.
“With Ralph, it’s like when your dad looks at the Internet and goes, ‘What is that? Why is that? What is going on?’”
Sounds like a good time, and rest assured there will be plenty of anthropomorphized versions of internet tools, such as a search engine, played by Alan Tudyk in the film.
Also popping up in human-esque form is an algorithm name Yesss who sports a blue aesthetic and is voiced by Taraji P. Henson.
