In a celebration of some of the most iconic figures in NFL history, MGM+ is set to premiere the next installment of its acclaimed docuseries, “NFL Icons.” This four-part series takes an intimate look at the careers, contributions, and legacies of legendary football figures. The first episode, featuring the renowned Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Cowher, will make its debut on Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT.
“NFL Icons” is a testament to the enduring impact of NFL legends, giving viewers a unique opportunity to delve into the lives of these great athletes, coaches, and contributors. The docuseries weaves together exclusive interviews, memorable highlights, mic’d-up moments, and previously unseen footage, all narrated by the award-winning broadcaster Rich Eisen.

Bill Cowher: A Pittsburgh Legend
The first episode, “NFL Icons: Bill Cowher,” highlights the life and career of Bill Cowher, a Pittsburgh native who not only became the head coach of his beloved hometown team but also made history as the youngest head coach in NFL history to lead his team to the Super Bowl. During his tenure with the Steelers, he masterminded one of the most remarkable playoff runs, culminating in the capture of the franchise’s fifth Lombardi Trophy.
Even after retiring from coaching, Bill Cowher remains an integral part of the NFL community, currently serving as a studio analyst for “The NFL Today” on CBS. His contributions to the game and the city of Pittsburgh make him a fitting subject for the inaugural episode of “NFL Icons.”
