Ok, if you’re an 80s baby you probably love The Princess Bride. Just like me. And if you have kids, you’ve probably passed this love down to them, keeping that love going and growing. It’s true, The Princess Bride– similar to The Wizard of Oz– had a forgettable theatrical run but ended up becoming a beloved film for generations to come.

There are very few people out there who’ve seen The Princess Bride who can’t quote the hell out of it or share with you what a soft spot they have in their hearts for it. That’s what makes this news so troubling (not really):

The Princess Bride has gotten…AN HONEST TRAILER!

Yes, you know the ones. The trailers that mock and rip apart movies by revealing plot holes, absurd ideas, and generally taking the piss out of things.

So here it is, courtesy of Screen Junkies, the Honest Trailer for The Princess Bride:

What’d you think of this Honest Trailer for The Princess Bride? Was it too softball? Did it hit the nail on the head? Was it too harsh? Sound off!

Oh, and if you haven’t seen this movie yet…that’s inconceivable!
