The folks over at Bespin Bulletin have an exclusive report on some Obi-Wan filming details to share. Plus a Vader scene description which has sent fans down the wrong path, I think. Yes, I know LRM said Obi-Wan Kenobi had wrapped, I’ll get to that below.

BB showed evidence that some filming was taking place in a college swimming pool, and it checks out. Who or what was being filmed is unknown? I do have a few points to share, but not about the scenes being filmed here. These scenes were filmed last week and appear to be the final shots being recorded for the show.

I have reached out to LRM‘s own sources to see if they could give us anything more on these Obi-Wan filming details? Here is what we are being told. When we reported Obi-Wan Kenobi had wrapped, it had, for the vast majority of cast and crew. Many of the crew either went on to other projects, some Star Wars related, or had a break before their next jobs. We’ve been told that there were some scenes filmed using a limited crew. Now, that made me curious to see if these were so secretive that they were done with a small crew?

As far as we know, this was not the case. However, truthfully we do not know exactly what was still being worked on, other than it was not scheduled for the main shoot with a full crew.

I seriously doubt LRM will have any more Obi-Wan Kenobi news to share sorry, for a while at least. At this point, the leaks you’ll start seeing will be more story specific and that was something LRM decided not to do a long time ago. We also won’t go near trailer dates as that’s stung us in the past. Our focus will now probably be on the details we can find for the next set of shows on the horizon, of which there are many.

Vader Scene Description

As for that Vader scene description, I will let the outlet speak for themselves.

“There’s also one other thing. I was told that just before the production moved to the college to film scenes with the swimming pool, a scene was filmed with Darth Vader entering a forest (using the volume). Sources were saying it was reminiscent of Dagobah. Now I’m not saying it is or isn’t Dagobah, just that it was reminiscent of it. So please don’t spread around that Dagobah is in the series – I am not saying that and nor are my sources. I was told the scene felt very tense, almost like Vader was stepping in ready for a confrontation.”

Now I have no idea what this scene involves, nor do I want to know. However despite BB explicitly making sure they are not saying this was Dagobah, guess what the fan buzz is? Yup, that BB has said Yoda and Dagobah will be in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Sigh! No one is saying they won’t be, we simply do not know. However, the outlet did make a point of stating they were just using Dagobah as an example, and I just want to stress that point here again.

I personally think a Yoda scene would be cool in Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, whether the little green guy is in it or not, I could not say. Currently, it seems neither can anyone else outside of the production.
