A new rumor from Jordan Maison says Obi-Wan Kenobi to premiere in May. Maison is known to have a good inside line into Lucasfilm. In the past, LRM knew some Star Wars details we were not allowed to publish, and we found that Jordan knew some of those same details. Additionally Jordan has been able to back up some of our exclusives, and vice versa recently. That’s my assessment of Maison’s credibility, for what it’s worth, he’s legit. Therefore, let’s take a look at what Maison posted to social media yesterday.
Twitter's glitching….y'all might not be able to see this….

Jordan is not saying that May is 100% guaranteed here, because release dates are very dodgy to predict. I’m not sure I’d get into that game myself as I am fully aware how much schedules can change right up the last minute. For evidence, we need look no further than Ms. Marvel on Disney+. Marvel’s Victoria Alonso and Disney’s Bob Chapek had both previously said Ms. Marvel would release in 2021. We now know Ms. Marvel has been delayed till at least January 2022, maybe longer. Additionally if anyone thinks The Book of Boba Fett was always supposed to drop on December 29th, I’d press F to doubt.
I can’t give you anything other than to say I believe Jordan’s sources are legit. However, I also get the feeling even those sources are not 100% right now on the date. That’s just me reading into the language used here and having some knowledge of how quickly dates can change. Previously when I have discussed the Star Wars shows release dates on The Cantina with my co-host Kyle Malone and our Navigator Shockey, we guessed at May for Obi-Wan. That was just a guess, but I think also an educated guess for the time.
Here’s how I think the upcoming Star Wars releases will go. Again, this is purely speculation outside of the confirmed date for Boba Fett.
The Book of Boba Fett: December, Obi-Wan Kenobi: May, The Bad Batch Season 2: Summer, Andor: Fall, Mando S3: Winter or maybe even early 2023. I guess we will find out in due course. With Obi-Wan Kenobi to premiere in May, this is what makes most sense in my head. However as I said, despite me knowing Jordan has inside info, I’d never bet my mortgage on a release date this far out. Things can and will change, especially with a potential strike on the way in the industry.
Let us know what you think, and whether you agree with my guesstimated release order or not? Thoughts below as always.
