Ewan McGregor, speaking to the press after his Emmy win for Halston, said that Obi-Wan Kenobi will not disappoint. Of course McGregor would have probably been more happy to talk Halston which was the point of the evening, but when you are also Kenobi in a new Star Wars project I guess that dominates everyone’s thoughts? Check out the transcript below and then the video from Variety as McGregor answered the question of whether he can tease anything regarding Obi-Wan Kenobi?
“Not really, we finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow, and you know, I think it will not, I think it will not disappoint, I mean, you know, I think it’s going to be good. I had a really fun time making it and worked with some really wonderful people, lovely people. The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did. And I really, really liked it, it was good. But I’m not gonna tell you anything else sorry.”

As some fans have already said, it would be funny if a star didn’t answer these questions positively for once. Nah, it’s bang average again, sorry folks, I was never feeling it. However despite all stars always speaking positively I think you can sometimes read under the surface. To me McGregor has seemed really pumped for this project since the point it was officially announced. From the little we have heard, McGregor and Christensen loved seeing each other again on set and the fun factor was felt amongst the crew.

I guess I am saying I am inclined to buy the positivity this time. Whilst I personally don’t know what happens in the show, I do know some who do. I think the comment that stuck with me was when I was also told this by an unnamed person. ‘You will not be disappointed in this show, this one will excite fans!’ So I don’t know about you fans, but this fan is hyped for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
