LRM: How was Valentina’s wedding?
Omar Chapparo: The wedding was spectacular. And can guarantee you a unexpected ending. It is a very fun film. A love story about a man trying to win over a woman. And you also get to see Valentinas struggle to choose between two men but also between two worlds between Mexico and the United States.
LRM: How was the scene with the electric shot machine?
Omar Chapparo: It was a real working machine, however the shocks were fictional. We had to pretend to be getting shocked although we were not feeling anything. However, between recording a scene we took a dinner break. Upon our return to continue the scene it turns out the person in charge had left the machine on and on ten. Having settings between 1-10 and ten being the maximum voltage. So when Ryan Carnes and I grabbed them to continue the scene we received a strong discharge that knocked us to the floor. We laughed but it was brutal. That scene was obviously not included in the film.
LRM:I am happy that you’re here to win over the American screen. But do you think there will soon be a project with Eugenio Derbez and Adrian Uribe?
Omar Chapparo: Yes, for sure. I am mean we are friends.
LRM: And almost neighbors?
Omar Chapparo: Kinda neighbor with Eugenio. Adrian is still in Mexico. But there is something being written for a film with Adrian and I. So that is getting cooked to get started on soon. And with Eugenio, I am leaving in a week on a film that he is producing in Mexico City.
