Pacific Rim Uprising Star Cailee Spaeny Wants To Play Catwoman

With Gotham City Sirens now in the works it’s time to start thinking about about the next Catwoman, and Pacific Rim Uprising star Cailee Spaeny, has thrown her hat in the ring for the role. In speaking with ComicBook.com, Spaeny was asked what superhero she might be interested in playing, and the actress expressed her desire to play the fabled feline anti-hero:

“It’s a tough one. I mean I would love to play…I really have hope because they keep making more, but I would love to play Catwoman or something, how cool would that be? Yeah, I want that,”

Catwoman is a difficult character to cast. To date my favorite iterations of the character have been Michele Pfeiffer in Batman Returns and Camren Bindicova of Fox’s Gotham. I thought while there was nothing wrong with Anne Hathaway’s performance in The Dark Knight Rises, there wasn’t much to remember about it either. Of course we all know about the horrible solo film starring Halle Berry, which put fans off the character for years.
