Padre No Hay Mas Que Uno (Father There Is Only One) was Spain’s highest-grossing comedy grossing over $15.9 million at the box office in 2019.
Its sequel, Padre No Hay Mas Que Uno 2 (Father There Is Only One 2), premiered this summer during the massive pandemic in Spain became Spain’s highest-grossing film this year with a local tally of more than $12 million. A third film is already in the works with a set release date for 2021.
Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
Javier, a workaholic father who knows nothing about housework or childcare, is forced to stay home alone with his five children when his wife Carmen goes on a trip without him. Santiago Segura (director of Spain’s all-time highest-grossing film franchise, Torrente) directs and stars in this movie.
The film also stars Toni Acosta and Silvia Abril.
Padre No Hay Mas Que Uno (Father There Is Only One) is currently available as VOD for Spanish audiences worldwide.
LRM Online exclusively premieres a clip from the film. The Spanish-language clip has two young daughters seated at a table. The older daughter plans to perform a tongue piercing for the younger sister as she is rudely interrupted.
