Over the weekend Paramount made multiple announcements restructuring their upcoming moving schedule. With covid restrictions still in place for the upcoming future, it seems that Paramount wants to wait until 2023 to release its major projects. Major projects like Mission: Impossible to some of its smaller animated projects, Paramount has rescheduled most of its projects for 2023.
The first announcement, by the way of THR, came on Friday with the announcement that Mission: Impossible 7 will now open July 14, 2023, pushing it off its Sept. 30, 2022, date. As a result of this move Mission: Impossible 8, has been pushed back to June 28, 2024. It previously was set for July 7, 2023.
While the announcement was not a major shock for this franchise, Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 have been pushed back over the past 20 months due to the pandemic and the shape of the theatrical landscape.
The next announcement came through Collider, instead of a push back the executive producer Seth Rogen’s animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is moving up on the release calendar. The film was previously set to bow on August 11, 2023, but will now debut one week earlier on August 4, 2023.

The last Paramount movement (via BleedingCool) was setting a new release date for its A Quiet Place spinoff. The studio announced earlier this month Michael Sarnoski was taking over the project. The release date has been pushed back to September 22, 2023. The news of the rescheduling is due to production delays instead of Covid.
