Paramount+’s Rugrats | EG Daily and Tara Strong on Season Two and Intro to Dil Pickles

One of the most beloved characters from Rugrats is making his comeback in the rebooted series on Paramount+.

In a mid-season introduction, the Pickles family has a new addition with the baby, Dil Pickles. Dil is a welcome addition to the talkative and imaginative toddlers running around the house in an already crowded household.

Dil Pickles is the baby brother to Tommy Pickles and the younger cousin of Angelica Pickles, to be voiced by Tara Strong.

The Rugrats voice cast includes EG Daily, Nancy Cartright, Kath Soucie, Cree Summer, Cheryl Chase, Ashley Rae Spillers, Tommy Dewey, and Patricia Acevedo.

Season two of the original animated series Rugrats follows the iconic babies—Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil, and Lil—as they explore the world and beyond from their wildly imaginative point-of-view.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with the beloved voice cast members EG Daily (Tommy Pickles) and Tara Strong (Dil Pickles). We talked about introducing Di to the series, the love of the series, and Tommy Pickles’ sound he makes to make Dil Pickles laugh.

EG Daily is best known for her animation voices that includes Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls, Rudy Tabootie on ChalkZone, and Julius on Julius Jr. Also, she voiced the primary character in the live-action Babe: Pig in the City and Bamm-Bamm Rubble in the live-action film The Flintstones. On the live-action film front, she appeared in Valley Girl, Dogfight, The Devil’s Rejects, and as Pee-wee’s girlfriend in Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.

Tara Strong is known for outstanding voice work in animation and video games. Her long list of credits included The New Batman Adventures, Teen Titans, The Powerpuff Girls, The Fairly OddParents, The Proud Family, Ben 10, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and DC Super Hero Girls. In the video gaming industry, she lend her voice in Mortal Kombat X, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Jak and Daxter, Final Fantasy X, X-2, and Batman: Arkham.

The first 13 episodes of the second season premiere today on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada.
