PAW Patrol Movie Announcement From Spin Master and Nickelodeon Movies

PAW Patrol is one of the most adorable and popular children’s television shows on Nick Jr.

After seven seasons, it may be about time for a full-length feature film for toddlers and children everywhere.

In an announcement by Spin Master and Nickelodeon Movies, PAW Patrol Movie will be on to the big screen for August 2021 release. Paramount Pictures has distribution rights.

Cal Brunker was also named as the director of the project. The animation veteran directed films with Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature and Escape From Planet Earth.

“We are thrilled to partner with Paramount and Nickelodeon to bring the PAW Patrol franchise and the characters that children love, to the big screen,” said Spin Master Entertainment’s Executive Vice President Jennifer Dodge. “This first foray into the arena of feature film marks a significant strategic expansion for Spin Master Entertainment and our properties. This demonstrates our commitment to harnessing our internal entertainment production teams to develop and deliver IP in a motion picture format that allows us to connect our characters to fans through shared theatrical experiences.”

PAW Patrol is about a tech-savvy 10-year-old by name Ryder and his team of rescue pups. These heroic dogs believe “no job is too big, no pup is to small” to protect the Adventure Bay community safe. The pups names include Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Zuma, Rocky, and Skye.

“Expanding PAW Patrol into the world of theatricals is a major milestone for this iconic property, and we can’t wait for kids and families everywhere to experience it together,” said Brian Robbins, president of Kids & Family Entertainment for ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks.

The television show airs in 160 countries and 30 languages. It is ranked as one of the top television programs for preschool series.

PAW Patrol will the first feature film by Spin Master’s entertainment division.
