Peacemaker Season 2 Confirmed By James Gunn Casually Online

James Gunn describes Peacemaker as both a prequel and sequel to The Suicide Squad

James Gunn has confirmed that a Peacemaker Season 2 is at least in the works. The director is currently working on a Peacemaker show for DC after previously filming The Suicide Squad. Peacemaker will be introduced in The Suicide Squad played by John Cena, though Gunn has said that the HBO Max show will actually be a prequel. Now Gunn has hinted Peacemaker Season 2 is coming eventually on Twitter. Gunn was asked if there were any characters he hated not being able to include in Peacemaker.

Season 2? When is Gunn going to be filming that, or is this a brand new development? Far as we know, once Gunn finishes up Peacemaker Season 1 he will then go and film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for Marvel along with the Holiday Special for Disney+. I assume after that Gunn will be working on a Peacemaker Season 2? Unless he is somehow able to fit that in with all his other projects he has lined up?

Gunn is always pretty active, and honest on social media, but he doesn’t spoil his movies either. I think Gunn has learned the art of making it seem like he gives information when in actual fact all he’s doing is throwing scraps at the feet of the fan base. That’ sounds negative, that’s not intentional. Gunn is loved by fans for his active approach to fan engagement. I especially love it when Gunn calls out fake leaks he has seen. It’s amazing how little leaks started appearing for his work after he did so.

Saying that, there’s a leak for The Suicide Squad that hit online and WB removed it for copyright reasons. Gunn kept quiet on that one also, so, does make you wonder if it was legit?

What do you think of this news. Are you happy that Peacemaker Season 2 seems to be on the cards from Gunn? Leave any thoughts below as always.
