Good news for fans that might have been worried as James Gunn confirms on social media that Peacemaker Season 2 will film in a few months time. After all the shake-up’s at Warner Bros/Discovery this last few months, the buzz was always that Peacemaker would survive the cut. However fans were still a little worried as WB/D seems to be keen to spend less money on HBO content.

Well now James Gunn himself says the shoot for Peacemaker Season 2 will start in a few months time. Check out Gunn’s social media post below.

As you can see Gunn is wishing one of the Peacemaker lead stars, Danielle Brooks a happy birthday. Gunn also says he can’t wait to hang out on set and off in just a few months time.

Thank the New Gods that WB/D were not daft enough to cancel Peacemaker. Season 1 was a blast and my only complaint was having to wait months to see the show after everyone else because I live in the U.K. However, I did manage to avoid any spoilers for the show and thoroughly enjoyed it when I got to watch for myself, eventually.

I would expect most of the main cast of Peacemaker’s team to return., Though it’s unlikely we will see Peacemaker’s father Auggie return, you never know given he was seeing the now dead terrible father figure after his death? One character we may not see return is Chuk Iwuji. Iwuji’s character Munson was of course an alien, and now that threat has been dealt with it seems unlikely a new tale would see the need for some kind of Munson resurrection.

You never know with James Gunn though, the man is inventive and never ever boring.

I’ll be watching Peacemaker Season 2. Hopefully at the same time as y’all this time, but either way I’m in.
