Large hotels and resorts have rich histories, particularly with unsolved deaths. In Peacock’s The Resort, two vacationers take it upon themselves to solve a 15-year-old mystery of a disappearance.
The series stars William Jackson Harper (The Good Place, The Underground Railroad), Cristin Milioti (Made for Love, Palm Springs), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico, Murder Mystery), Nina Bloomgarden (Hot Pink, Jane), Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation, Pam & Tommy), Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones, Licorice Pizza), and Gabriela Cartol (La Camarista, Hernán).
Andy Siara (Palm Springs) created the series with producer Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot). Siara serves as showrunner and executive producer with co-showrunner Allison Miller.
Here is the official synopsis:
A multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time. An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years prior.
