Last year, audiences fell in love with Bill Skarsgard’s portrayal of the terrifying dancing clown, Pennywise. Arguably even more so than Tim Curry did decades prior, Skarsgard captured the twisted and demented essence of the supernatural figure that is the shape-shifting baddie.
Of course, last year’s film only covered half of the story. Instead of weaving in and out between the decades like the novel did, the first film only covered the childrens’ half of the story, leaving room for the adult tale in the sequel — which is currently in production.

Now in a new series of set photos, we see more of the terrifying Pennywise we’ve grown to love to hate.

As you can see in the photos, we got just shy of a handful of photos. One features Pennywise sitting on the shoulders of a Paul Bunyan statue. One shot shows off the character undergoing makeup and costume touch-ups, and two images show him…Mary Poppins-ing down to the ground? It’s hard to say, but that smile continues to creep me out.
What do you think of these new photos? Are you happy to see that Pennywise looks virtually the same in these new photos, or were you hoping for at least the slightest of facelifts? Let us know down below!
