From the trailer alone, it doesn’t appear he goes John Wick in hunting for his best friend. However, it does seem like he is backtracking into his past as a culinary chef to connect the clues on who may steal a pig in the fine dining establishments.

For those who don’t understand, the truffle industry (wild mushrooms) is a competitive a lucrative business in the high-established fine dining restaurants. Some of these truffles can fetch thousands of dollars in the auction arenas. Most truffle hunters uses dogs to sniff out the best truffles in the woods. So, the perputrators didn’t kidnap a pig for pork and bacon, but for her talents to seek out truffles. No doubt—it’s definitely a culinary chef or businessman from his past.

In this end, the film is about a lonely man’s obsession to track down his pig. It’ll be interesting to see Nicolas Cage back to form in a dramatic role.
