Pixar Bringing Soul, Turning Red, And Luca To Theaters Nationwide For The First Time

In an exciting cinematic treat, Disney and Pixar are set to bring three of their beloved films “Soul,” “Turning Red,” and “Luca” to the big screen nationwide for the very first time in 2024. The theatrical runs are scheduled as a special engagement, allowing audiences to experience the magic of Pixar ahead of the highly anticipated release of “Inside Out 2” in June 2024. Tickets for the screenings will go on sale starting January 2, 2024.

To celebrate this cinematic event trailers for “Soul,” “Turning Red,” and “Luca” are now available, offering fans a glimpse into the enchanting worlds created by Disney and Pixar.

The screenings promise not only the main feature but also the added delight of Pixar’s signature animated short films. “Soul,” hitting theaters on January 12, will be paired with the SparkShort “Burrow.” “Turning Red,” premiering on February 9, will be preceded by the SparkShort “Kitbull.” Finally, “Luca,” gracing the big screen on March 22, will feature the classic Pixar short “For the Birds.”

“Soul,” the Oscar-winning animated feature, invites audiences to ponder the essence of identity. Directed by Academy Award winner Pete Docter, the film follows Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx), a middle-school band teacher who finds himself in the fantastical realm of The Great Before. The movie hits theaters on February 9, 2024.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Italian Riviera, “Luca” follows the adventures of a young boy, Luca (voiced by Jacob Tremblay), and his newfound sea monster friend Alberto (voiced by Jack Dylan Grazer). Directed by Academy Award nominee Enrico Casarosa, the film captures the magic of an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta, and scooter rides. Nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature film and a Golden Globe for best motion picture—animated, “Luca” makes its theatrical debut on March 22, 2024.
