Playground | Laura Wandel Talks About The Oscar Entry Film [Exclusive Interview]

This year Belgium makes the list for the Oscar entry list with Playground,  film written and directed by Laura Wandel.

The Synopsis 

7-year-old Nora and her big brother Abel are back to school. When Nora witnesses Abel being bullied by other kids, she rushes to protect him by warning their father, but Abel forces her to remain silent. Caught in a conflict of loyalty, Nora will ultimately try to find her place, torn between children’s and adults’ worlds.

Playground is Laura Wandel’s first feature film and no surprise to be recognized as an oscar entry film. While attending film school, her school film Murs was played in several film festivals around the world. Wadel made her first short film, O Négatif  in 2014. Les Corps Étrangers was seen at the Cannes Film Festival.
