Possibility Of MCU Netflix Character Return? Kevin Feige Speaks

There have been a ton or rumors around a possible MCU Netflix character return. Far as anyone knows, all the rights to those characters from Netflix has gone back to Marvel Studios. Marvel boss Kevin Feige talked a little about the potential MCU Netflix character return in his recent appearance at the TCA press event.

“I think we probably could do it, I think a lot of that stuff comes back to us. There’s always rumors online about things reverting, sometimes that’s true, sometimes it’s not, but I’m not exactly sure of the exact contracts but perhaps someday.”

Feige then went on to explain why the former TV side of the MCU was really not a concern of his.

“My history at Marvel is vast and involved zero control for a long time so I paid more attention to the things I gained control over rather than the things I didn’t have control over. TV at that time was just one of those things that we didn’t, just like when Fox was doing X-Men movies or Sony was doing Spider-Man movies without us,” Feige adds. “That was just the rules under which Marvel was operating at the time. It was much more of an opportunity and something that excited us at Marvel Studios when Bob Iger started asking us to work on shows for Disney+. It wasn’t a disappointment or something we thought much about when Marvel Television was doing their series.”

Feige was then asked specifically about Agents of SHIELD.

“There are often rumors that are true and there are often rumors that are not. It was great fun to have Clark Gregg come back to the MCU in Captain Marvel. Everything else, we’ll just have to see.”

MCU Netflix character return

Of course the strongest of those rumors is about Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. Many reports claim that Charlie Cox not only appears in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but he’s already filmed his scenes.

I guess we will find out in due course. If I was Feige, I’d be 100% looking to get Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio back as Murdock and Fisk. Both were phenomenal in their show and Fisk especially could be a character who shows up elsewhere. Though, what about all the Multiverse rumors regarding No Way Home? Is it possible Cox’s Netflix Universe may be shown to be separate from the prime MCU? Guess we will find out this Christmas time, won’t we?
