Today we share some potential details on Amazon’s LOTR show. I wish the detail was the name of the show so we can stop calling it Lord of the Rings, as it is not. However for now we will need to make do with a few details that were shared online by Fellowship of Fans who are dedicated to Tolkien’s works. Check out the details shared below, but there is nothing Middle-earth shattering here. As with all rumors, keep up your sodium levels during consumption.
EXCLUSIVE: Robert Aramayo has a stand in double for height perspective for the scenes filmed with the dwarves and the double was over 6 ft 5 and did martial arts.

Yes, it is possible that Aramayo is playing Elrond. However it’s not guaranteed, this could easily fit for the character of Celebrimbor for example. In Fact, that would actually make more sense to me personally.
EXCLUSIVE: The Dwarves have “amazing Dragon/ Dragon scale” armour with some being as heavy as 15-20 kg on the extras.
Most Dwarven extras were NZ male 50-60 years olds and even older

Given we think the main setting of the show will be Eregion, that puts the Elves very close to both the Blue Mountain Dwarves, and those in Moria. However Celebrimbor had a great relationship with the Dwarves of Moria, hence my thoughts above.
EXCLUSIVE: Some scenes from the first 2 episodes will show Dwarves climbing a mountain/ravine. Also on the Dwarven sets there is an “underground pub set piece”.

Interesting, though I’d guess one of Tormund’s main features is his size. A Dwarven King would not have the size, but the look of Tormund is very Dwarven. It’s probably however more accurate to say Tormund resembles a Dwarven character given the age of Tolkien’s work. I’m not surprised that this Amazon LOTR show is taking some inspiration though from Game of Thrones. I just hope they also understand where Thrones failed a s a show as well as the successes.

In terms of the races I expect to see most of in this LOTR show, I’d say Elves and Dwarves are a given. The Numenorean race of Men are also expected to heavily feature in the show. Though, perhaps that’s something we will see built up in later seasons, depending on where the show decides to begin. My guess is that we are beginning near the part of the Second Age where Celebrimbor first began crafting the Rings of Power under the guidance of the mysterious Annatar. Though, we will have to just wait and see for certain.
