Predators Adds Prey To Menu

The Mouse House Has Some Bloody Good News. Prey is coming

It’s Disney Day, and Disney has dropped some interesting news regarding the Predator sequel. Can I interest you in a Predator sequel? No, you say? What do you mean, you don’t like sequels/reboots that happen every few years? Don’t you know this property is on cinematic life support, and will fade away and die less we sacrifice hard-earned dollars to the space deity known as Yautja?

Not a Sequel At All

I promise you, it won’t be a sequel. Predator won’t be in the title. That’s a real first for this franchise. The prequel/sequel will be called Prey! Now, I can tell you’re interested. So I’ll tell you a bit more. Just let me remember what part of the franchise this is.

There was Predator in a Jungle. Then Predator 2 sat in a concrete jungle. AVP was set in a pyramid beneath the Antarctic. AVP: Requiem was set in a small American town. Then Predators took place on a completely different planet. Oh, and The Predator brought the action back to earth where we met Olivia Munn and an invisible Sex Offender. I say invisible because I don’t recall witnessing a single piece of celluloid with said Sex Offender. Great work, Miss. Munn! I only mention him, because Olivia Munn made sure I knew he was there, somewhere lurking like say an actual Predator.

The Galaxy’s Fiercest Sports Hunter Comes Home

But today fans of sci-fi films, and 80’s action movies can rejoice. Because for the first time in the history of the Predator franchise, the action will be exploding straight out of the tiny screen in your living room, or on your cell phone. You see, Prey is debuting on Hulu. And it’s coming in Summer 2022. So prepare yourself for some Predator action set back on earth, only this time in the past.  It’s the ultimate reboot. Screw everything that didn’t work. Set the next film before any of the rest.
