So far we have had Daredevil return to the MCU and get his own series. What about a Punisher Revival? Well Rosario Dawson says shes heard it’ s happening in an appearance at Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo this weekend.

Asked about a possible Night Nurse reprisal, Dawson said she,
“heard that Punisher was happening again.”
Dawson then followed that up with saying she’d love to be in that as she was not in the original show.
“So, I feel like it’s my second chance, because that’s the only one of the shows I wasn’t in and I love Jon Bernthal,” she continued. “So, lets all make it happen collectively guys.”

I’ll say that I didn’t love either season of Punisher on Netflix. However I felt that was down to some average writing. Bernthal himself was amazing and he was magnificent in Daredevil Season 2. I loved Jigsaw as a villain, but at times I found the Punisher show too slow and padded out.

The majority of Marvel fans would love see Bernthal return as Punisher in the MCU, I think. I guess I assume the actor would be interested in a reprisal seen as there’s going to be a decent pay check. However who knows on that front whether Bernthal wants to come back or not?
Dawson eventually returning as Night Nurse seems like a certainty. However given how busy she is with Disney’s other big franchise Star Wars, maybe it’ll be farther down the road?
