Queens will be debuting their eleventh episode tonight on ABC. If you have been following along, the ladies played by Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez, and Pepi Sonuga have gone through quite a lot. Relatable adversaries that we can relate to like divorce, sexuality, dating, health, and so much more. For anyone person, this could be a breaking point. But these ladies have a not-so-secret weapon that has allowed them to get through it all, sisterhood.
In Queens, these ladies may bicker and fight with one another throughout the day. But when the going gets tough, they put aside their differences and are able to come together to figure things out. This is a reminder to all of us that regardless of how strong and independent we think we are, sometimes we need a little help from whoever we consider closest.

To talk a little more about this, LRM Online‘s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Nadine Velazquez. She is one of the lead stars of Queens that plays Valeria “Butter Pecan” Mendez. In the series she often seems like the outsider that infiltrated the group, having to often having to prove herself to the rest of the ladies. Behind the scenes, she is the only Latina in the cast, something that comes with a little bit of pressure. She talks to us about the sisterhood that she and the rest of the ladies have built on and off the set. She also talks about her excitement about being able to add a little reggaeton to the mix in tonight’s episode. It was a fun conversation that you can check out below!
