Rahul Kohli really knows how to play with Star Wars fans emotions. The successful actor has been on social media the past couple weeks leaving cryptic messages about playing a live action Ezra Bridger. Although the tweets seem to be more playful than actual truth it has created a buzz of fans campaigning to have Rahul really play Ezra.  Usually Lucasfilm and Disney are really secretive about castings but with everything going on maybe this is a new marketing strategy.

Even though they have tried to keep castings a secret, recent castings have been leaked out to the public. Rosario Dawson, Timothy Olyphant, and Temuera Morrison have all had their castings accidentally revealed through social media and publicist. To market a casting like this wouldn’t cost the company any money and it targets only the fans of Star Wars. If it is not a marketing campaign then someone at Lucasfilm and Disney really needs to take a look at Rahul is doing.

There are so many things in this tweet that we can only hope to be true. First, Rahul mentions in his tweet that he is currently filming a new show. Second, the Lucasfilm Ltd shirt he is wearing. Not that it is really anything super special but not exactly a shirt you can get at your local Hot Topic. Third, the paused image of Ezra Bridger on his laptop. It is from the last season of Star Wars Rebels which sees Ezra disappear with Thrawn somewhere in the galaxy.

Now of course this is not the first tweet Rahul has mentioned playing a live action Ezra Bridger. A couple weeks ago he made Ezra Bridger trending on Twitter when he sent out a couple tweets talking about getting in shape to play Ezra.  Rahul is a big Star Wars fan as more than likely is just playing around with our emotions. That is okay because it takes our mind off of the horrible things going on around the world right now.
