The day has arrived! Today is the opening night for Avengers: Endgame as many around the world are counting down to their respective showtimes. With a year passing since Thanos’ decimation event in Avengers: Infinity War, MCU fans have been anxious to learn in what way the remaining heroes, including the original six Avengers, have in mind for retribution. When tickets first went on sale the first week of April, the entire cast began their worldwide press tour to promote the upcoming film to the loyal fanbase. Now, with showings taking place in mere hours in North America, all their questions will be answered.
Throughout the press tour, actor Robert Downey, Jr. aka Tony Stark has been very active on his social media accounts. His Instagram account has been riddled with the daily activities he and the rest of the cast took part in at different venues. Additionally, RDJ put on a few special dance sessions directed toward his Instagram audience, using songs like Blondie’s “Heart Of Glass,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze,” and Men Without Hats’ “Safety Dance.” This time around, on the opening day of Avengers: Endgame, RDJ posted a small message on his Twitter account reflecting on his time in the MCU.

Is this RDJ saying goodbye to the MCU? Has he confirmed that Stark will make the ultimate sacrifice in this epic chapter? Whether or not this is a goodbye tweet, there is no doubting how important RDJ has been to the MCU both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. As a big fan of both the actor and the character, it will be tough to see him go. All this writer can hope for is one hell of a last stand from the man who once defined himself as the genius/billionaire/playboy/philanthropist.
