It’s the Rocky Balboa of the dance world. Or at least of tap dancing.
Writer-director Stephen Kogon presents an indie darling with Dance Baby Dance. This feel good movie is about a mid-30s man’s pursuit towards tap dancing and making it into a showcase for a touring show despite all obstacles against younger dancers and a studio owner who has no faith in him.
The film also stars Beverley Mitchell (Seventh Heaven), Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation), and Carlos Alazraqui (Despicable Me 3).
The film made its premiere in Arena CineLounge Hollywood this week and will be playing in a week-long run. It is also released digitally on Amazon.
LRM was at the red carpet premiere last night in Hollywood. We interviewed Stephen Kogon, Carlos Alazraqui, Clare Grant and Leah Ann Cevoli.
