Reno 911 Sequel Film Is Just A Matter Of Scheduling Says Thomas Lennon

If you enjoy the shenanigans performed by the guys in Super Troopers, please know that there are other funny cops out there. Most of you may be familiar with the crew from Reno, Nevada on the long-running  Comedy Central show Reno 911. Along with the series, which ran for seven season, fans of the show received a movie in 2007, which along with the regular cast, brought in Dwayne Johnson. Co-creator of the show, Thomas Lennon was asked about the possibility of a sequel during a recent interview with MovieWeb Lennon sounded optimistic about the project, saying that scheduling is really the biggest issue.

“It’s an absolute eventuality. I know it’s going to happen. Ben [Garant] and I have an idea that we really, really love and it’s literally just now scheduling and timing. But everybody has said they would do it.”

In the age of reviving once popular shows, Reno 911 seems like it would be perfect for this sort of movie, but Lennon believes that any further indulgence into the world of Reno 911 would be a movie, and likely one direct to a streaming service.

“I strongly suspect it would be a movie, even if it was more of a streaming service type movie thing.”

This does seem the easiest route for a project such as this to go, and as I am a subscriber to most all the streaming services, I am all for this. I just want more Dangle, Junior, Garcia, and Weigel. We also can’t forget Nick Swardson’s Terry.
