Resident Evil 3 Remake Announced In New Trailer

Resident Evil has always been one darling of a franchise. It not only helped shape the horror genre, but it’s also managed to successfully evolve over the course of several console generations. Most recently, the second game in the franchise, Resident Evil 2 was remade and has received such critical acclaim that it’s locked down a Video Game Awards nomination.

But don’t think for a second that Capcom was done revisiting the earlier stories of the series. In a new official announcement trailer, it was revealed that Resident Evil 3 would also be getting a hefty overhaul.

The original game it the PlayStation back in 1999 under the title Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and followed Jill Valentine, who gamers played in the first game a few years earlier.

If the recent game is any indication, this new remake will be giving the original story a graphical update as well as plenty of quality-of-life updates in the form of new game mechanics and better controls.
