Resurrection Trailer Has Rebecca Hall Haunted By Man From the Past

Resurrection with Rebecca Hall

In this psychological thriller Resurrection, Rebecca Hall plays Margaret who places herself into a psychological spiral as she notices a haunting man from her past.

The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival praising Hall’s performance and an unexpected twisted ending.

The film also stars Tim Roth. Andrew Semans directed and wrote the movie, which marks his sophomore feature film.

Here is the official synopsis:

Margaret (Rebecca Hall) leads a successful and orderly life, perfectly balancing the demands of her busy career and single parenthood to her fiercely independent daughter Abbie. Everything is under control. But that careful balance is upended when an unwelcome shadow from her past, David (Tim Roth) returns, carrying with him the horrors of Margaret’s past. Battling her rising fear, Margaret must confront the monster she’s evaded for two decades who has come to conclude their unfinished business.

Personally, I saw this film at of Sundance Film Festival. This film marks one of the better psychological horror films from the festival. Not to mention, there is a draw-dropping end to the film that’ll surprise many viewers. Seman’s direction set the mood perfectly to the end.

Resurrection releases by IFC Films in theaters and On-Demand on August 5th. It will follow with a streaming release by Shudder in November 2022.
