With Season 4 of AdultSwim’s Rick and Morty in the books, fans now await Season 5. Since creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon signed on for 70 episodes a while back, it was more or less promised that the wait between seasons wouldn’t be nearly as long as fans were used to waiting.
Below you can find a rough, and unfinished clip of Season 5 of the show. The episode will introduce Rick’s nemesis, Mr. Nimbus. Enjoy.

It seems sort of weird it’s taken five seasons for us to meet Rick’s nemesis. However, upon first glance, this guy doesn’t look like much of a match for Rick, but perhaps I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I always figured that the only person that could match Rick in intelligence and cunning, would be, another Rick.
Dan Harmon explains below that it’s an unusual place for the show not to be behind schedule.
“We’re basically done writing it. The only exception is I get on these Zoom edit sessions where we’re kind of finalizing the finale of Season 5. It’s a crazy situation to be in because this show has notoriously kept everyone behind schedule.”
Hopefully, the hiatuses between seasons will be shorter than they previously have been. Over seven years the show has only given fans four full seasons. To be honest, I haven’t even finished Season 4 yet, but with 20-minute episodes, I can knock that out in a couple of hours. And I may do just that later tonight.
