Wubalubadubdub? Rick and Morty hasn’t been renewed for a fourth season yet? Say it isn’t so!
Though I don’t know the show’s ratings, Rick and Morty has a very active, loud, and apparent fan base, whether I’m at work discussing Season 3 when it aired with nearly EVERYONE in my building, spotting more Ricks and Mortys at Denver Comic-Con than Deadpools, or the extreme uproar over bringing back McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce, based on a joke from a single episode.
Fans have been bugging Dan Harmon on Twitter, looking for answers about when we may see Season 4 of Rick and Morty, especially after the long hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3.
It turns out, Adult Swim has yet to order a fourth season of what I always assumed was their most popular show.
I hear ya, tough spot. On one hand, it can be challenging, especially with crippling lazy alcoholism, to write a show that hasn’t been ordered by a network. On the other hand, the thought that fans like you pay the price…I mean…I’m gonna grab a drink https://t.co/mvn9nthxCE

So, why hasn’t Adult Swim made the obvious move and picked up Rick and Morty? I am only speculating, but it is common knowledge that though Harmon is a genius, he can be difficult to work with occasionally. So, it is possible there is some friction between him and co-creator Justin Roiland, and Adult Swim, though I’m hopeful all parties will come to agreement, as it seems to be in everyone’s best interest. They make money, we get more, sweet, sweet, Rick and Morty.
