Rick And Morty Season 5 Trailer #2 Dropped This Weekend

The second trailer for Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty‘s fifth season just dropped May 1. The show will be released June 20th. If you haven’t seen it yet, the first trailer was released on March 30 and it shows more adventures with the whole family, not just Rick and Morty. With the second trailer, we get into some more detail of what I’m most looking forward to, the Voltron parody.

Rick and Morty Season 5 Trailer #2

I’m not much of a fan of giant mecha or kaiju, but I love that they added this to the insanity of this show. The parodies that the show covers have never been a disappointment for me and I love this show.

We get a little of the Voltron parody in the first trailer, but more in the second trailer including a freaking Kaiju! Also, we get lightsabers, both double-sided and a lightsaber whip, and see poor Jerry with a tiny gun. We get to see Rick’s ship plow through robots on skis and their ‘Voltron’ fully assembled. It’s been fun watching the madness of this show.

Rick and Morty was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Roiland stars as both Rick and Morty and Harmon as Birdperson. Additionally, I’m looking forward to where we left off with Beth, played by Sarah Chalke, but I won’t spoil anything if you haven’t seen season 4 yet. The show first aired in 2013 and has been a huge hit.

Are excited to see season 5 this summer? What was your favorite episode of season 4? Leave us a comment.
