Simmers Outraged Over Trait Update In The Sims 4

On March 23rd, the Sims 4 got a new update that many simmers were excited about, bunk beds. However, the update also included appreciated variants for some posters and paintings. Also, fans will see hair bug fixes and trait improvements. The Sims Team gave a long list of traits that were updated, but they weren’t specific on EA.com.

The Sims community were able to figure out the changes and some simmers were happy with the trait changes, except for hates children trait.

A sim with the hates children trait will get tense and then angry if they are around child sims. They get a happy ‘quiet environment child-free zone’ buff if away from children after some time has passed. With the update, if a sim has this trait, asking to ‘try for a baby’ can be only possible unless a Sim is Dazed.

Many Simmers have called out The Sims Team on YouTube and one individual tweeted their disgust about this change.

The Sims Team have done a lot lately to anger and frustrate the simmers. Some of these include giving packs that Simmers don’t want or are completely terrible, like Star Wars Journey To Batuu, or taking forever to update the skin tones and even that could have been better. This update for the hates children trait should have never happened. Just like the tweet says, “consent is important.” Who on their team thought this was a good idea?
