Rick and Morty Will Step Into The World Of Dungeons And Dragons

Rick and Morty fans wait for a fourth season (that at this point hasn’t even been asked for by AdultSwim), the grandfather and grandson duo will have a new adventure coming this August. Rick and Morty will be crossing over with the popular RPG game, Dungeons and Dragons, in a new comic book. Oni Press and IDW announced at C2E2 that they will team up to produce the comic. Patrick Rothfuss, fantasy author, will write the comic along with Dungeons and Dragons veteran Jim Zub. Rothfuss had this to say while speaking in an IDW press release:

“I love Rick and Morty with a powerful love, and I’ve played D&D since the 5th grade. So when they approached me about writing a story with both of them together? That’s some serious you-got-chocolate-in-my-peanut butter $#!& right there. I’m in. I’m all the way in. I’m gettin’ that chocolate all up in the peanut butter. Like, deep in. All the way in. It’s going to be sticky and delicious.”

Doesn’t sound like a half bad idea to me. This should be a fun world for Rick to interact with and for Morty to be unreasonably scared of. The two have faced some formidable enemies over the course of their adventures, but wizards, elves, and similar creatures will bring a new test for Rick’s advanced use of science.
