Robert Pattinson Calls Script For Christopher Nolan’s Next Film ‘Unreal’

Christopher Nolan is probably one of a handful of bold voices of in Hollywood who has the clout to make virtually any big blockbusters film he wants with little pushback from the studio. As he proved with movies like Inception and Interstellar, he not only has the ability to tell high-concept, mainstream movies, but to do with his own original properties — something not many directors out there can actually claim.

The details are pretty much nonexistent for the film, with claims of it being a romantic thriller in the vein of North by Northwest being debunked by the studio themselves…but we do know that one actor — Robert Pattinson — is on board with the project. As he revealed to USA Today, the High Life star has, in fact, read the script for the high-profile flick.

“I got locked in a room to read the script – I don’t have it myself,” Pattinson told the outlet. “I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”

So yeah, he pretty much echoed my own comments regarding Nolan. The man is truly in a unique position to tell virtually any story he wants, even if it would generally be off-limits for others. Given how much Robert Pattinson has spent in the indie space, it may be quite telling to see that even he sees an indie appeal in Nolan.
