Avengers: Endgame Run Time Officially Revealed

So we have heard a ton of rumors around the run time of Avengers: Endgame so far. First, we heard that the initial cut was around 3 hours long and then later we had heard theaters had been informed of a 3 hour and 3-minute runtime, others had heard 3 hours and 2 minutes etc. So what actually is the correct run time for Avengers: Endgame?

Well, we now have a proper answer for this. Speaking with ComicBook.com directors Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed that the runtime for Avengers: Endgame will actually be 3 hours and a whopping 58 seconds. I know right? But, this will still make Endgame far and away the longest Marvel movie to date and when we consider the amount of content and storylines they have to squeeze into this movie it’s no wonder it has an extended run time.

Let’s face it, everyone under the sun was expecting this or somewhere close anyway. I already have my tickets booked as I am sure many of you do, and the theaters have the movie scheduled for a 3 hour run time. That extra 58 seconds is not really going to make any difference to the schedules and that’s perhaps why theaters were told to allow for an extra 3 minutes until the final, final cut was locked.

A friend of mine informed me he has booked an Infinity War and Endgame double bill showing starting on Wednesday evening of 24th April and as Infinity War ends, Endgame gets its inaugural showing. I personally do not fancy sitting in a theatre for close to 6 hours. As I said to him, I’ll just watch the Infinity War Blu-ray the night prior and save myself a sore butt.

So not that it will be a big surprise to any of you, but what do you think of the official runtime of Avengers: Endgame, do you have your tickets booked and your seats chosen? Share your stories in the usual spot below.
