Robin Hood Trailer: I Want To Believe…But I Just Don’t…

Are you ready for the umpteenth remake of the Robin Hood story? In this latest version, we get to see Taron Egerton take on the role of Robin Hood and Jamie Foxx take on the role of Little John. We’ve already seen a couple trailers for the film, and as it stands, it admittedly feels less like Robin Hood and more like Arrow Season 1.

As someone who doesn’t really care for Robin Hood as a character but did really enjoy Season 1 of Arrow, I have to say, I am intrigued. I’m interested to see how the film turns out, but will only end up seeing it if I heard good things. otherwise, you can just add this to the list of Robin Hood adaptations I won’t bother to say (the last one I saw was Robin Hood: Men in Tights…that counts, right?).

This new trailer doesn’t really accomplish anything new. Like the ones before it, it does boast some cool action, and I very much like Egerton and Foxx in their respective roles. But admittedly, I’d be less interested in a reimagining of the character and more interested in a story that returned to the core elements of what made his character interesting to begin with.

Then again, I still couldn’t guarantee I’d make it out if they had done that.
