Every generation has a cartoon that defines their era. It encompasses everything about that generation’s pop-culture, politics, and social structure. Rocko’s Modern Life is quite possibly that cartoon for the older Millennials. The show was rife with great adult humor, clever references, and memorable episodes such as the Suck-O-Matic episode. That one makes me laugh to this day, despite having seen it over 100 times. This is why I was excited when Static Cling was announced nearly two years ago.

The reboot film spent a long time in development hell, probably due to it not being for the modern Nickelodeon audience, but is finally hitting the Netflix streaming service on August 9th. This trailer gives a little more on the story that involves finding The Fatheads creator Ralph Bighead, while also showing footage we have already seen from the announcement trailer.
I am excited to take a trip down memory lane while seeing favorite characters having to cope with a 20 year time skip. Just remember, turn the page, wash your hands.
