Rolling Loud: The Movie comes with the best of both words, music and comedy all in one film. A story inspired by his own personal experience with his son while attending Rolling Loud in Miami. As part of the comedic cast is Christine Ko showing us more of her comedic talent but the physical part paired with it.
The Synopsis
Desperate to reconnect with his 13-year-old son, Hank (Owen Wilson, “The Royal Tenenbaums”) secretly takes him to Rolling Loud against his wife’s wishes. When Zion (Chrstian Convery, “The End of Oak Street”) disappears inside the massive festival, Hank teams with two unlikely allies and plunges into an increasingly insane search—while hiding the truth from his wife and confronting the harder truth that his son is growing up.

The actress Christine Ko was born in Chicago but grew up between Atlanta and Taiwan. After attending Georgia State University to study finance she relocated to Taiwan to seek acting. Eventually she moved to Los Angeles where her career as an actress really took off. Starting with CBS series The Great Outdoors, then Hawaii Five-O, Ballers, Deception and Upload. Jeremy Garelick is a screenwriter, producer, director and filmmaker. He is a Yale University graduate. Garelick started in the entertainment industry at Creative Artists Agency before working for director Joel Schumacher. The breakthrough as a writer was in 2006 with The Break-Up, starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. Then other projects came like The Hangover, The Wedding Ringer, The Binge and Murder Mystery 2.
Days before the release of Rolling Loud: The Movie I was connected with Christine Ko and Jeremy Garelick via Zoom to discuss this musical ride. Ko discussed the physical work for the film that was much more than what was originally planned plus her experience in getting to work with Owen Wilson. While Garelick discussed the difficulty of filming parts of the film at the real Rolling Loud in 2024 and why he chose Wilson to play Hank and more!
