Zara Larsson Gets Her Own Winx Club Trading Card From KAYOU Ahead of New York Comic Con

Pop star Zara Larsson has earned her fairy wings, and now she has a trading card to prove it. KAYOU, one of the world’s fastest-growing trading card brands, is releasing a limited-edition Zara Larsson × Winx Club collaboration card. It will debut exclusively at New York Comic Con this week.

The card draws on Larsson’s “Midnight Sun” music video with Winx Club. The collaboration drew more than 65 million social media views within days of launch. The artwork shows Larsson posing with her fellow Winx Club fairies, and KAYOU’s artists turned the video’s radiant wings, sun-soaked colors, and matching fairy fashion into collectible art.

Fans can get the “Midnight Sun”-inspired promo card for free in two ways. The first is KAYOU’s Celebration of Fandom Daily Giveaway at Booth #1143, which starts at 10 a.m. each day of the convention. The second is a “Winxified” makeover on Friday, Oct. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m., where attendees get a statement eye look and their own fairy wings. The makeover is limited to 200 fans, first come, first served.

Larsson’s card is one of several promo cards KAYOU will hand out at the Javits Center. The daily giveaway also includes a Netflix “K-Pop Demon Hunters” card showing Sussie Bird perched on Derpy Tiger, and a My Little Pony Trading Card Game Halloween Treat Token card from the upcoming Nightmare Night set. The Treat Token card also goes to players in the Inspo Pack Battle Tournament during Pony Day at Pro-Play Games, which costs $15 to enter.

Some cards go to fans who take part in activities. Attendees who photograph the nearly 12-foot-tall Tech Deck Wreck Deck Monster Jam truck in the North Concourse and post it on Instagram tagging @KayouUS can collect a lenticular Monster Jam card at the KAYOU booth. Fans who learn to play KAYOU’s My Little Pony Trading Card Game will receive a blind pack promo card featuring one of the Mane Six. Learn-to-Play demos run Thursday through Sunday at Pro-Play Games Booth #1271.

Two autograph sessions are also planned. On Saturday, Oct. 10, from noon to 1 p.m., Arden Cho, the speaking voice of Rumi in “KPop Demon Hunters,” will sign KAYOU cards for 100 fans. On Sunday, Oct. 11, from noon to 2 p.m., tokidoki co-founder and artist Simone Legno will sign cards for 200 fans. For both sessions, wristbands go out at 11 a.m. that day, with a limit of one card per person.

Collectors who want something bigger can buy KAYOU’s first oversized card offered for sale, made with BOOM! Studios. The 6-by-8-inch KAYOU × BOOM! × My Little Pony NYCC Exclusive Cover Card costs $25. It shows the Mane Six among blooming purple roses in storybook-style artwork. Each card comes with an early-release copy of BOOM! Studios’ new “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” comic series ahead of its Nov. 11 launch. It’s sold at KAYOU Booth #1143 and BOOM! Studios Booth #3235 while supplies last.

Most of KAYOU’s promo cards are free, but supplies are limited, so fans should arrive early.
