In case it wasn’t clear by this point, Disney has been seemingly a whole lot of effort and stock into their upcoming streaming service Disney+. We already know of at least two Star Wars shows — one called The Mandalorian and one featuring Cassian Andor — and a few live-action Marvel shows — one featuring Loki, another Scarlet Witch, and another with Bucky and Falcon.

Well, it looks like we have another potential show on the horizon. Maybe. This rumor comes from That Hashtag Show, and even they admit that this is just a rumor they’ve been unable to confirm with Disney or their sources, so take it with a grain of salt. Put even less trust in this than you would normal rumors. You know how it goes. I know you. You’re a healthy skeptic.

Anyway, according to them, one show that’s being pitched to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is one following Rocket Raccoon and Groot. Sadly, there are no other details — be it in budget, episode length, or whether or not Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel would be up for reprising their roles in a TV show.

However, given that Disney does seem to be going all in on their shows, having those two join doesn’t seem like a huge stretch. What may be a huge stretch is the sheer amount of VFX needed to create a show, as virtually every shot would require the characters to be rendered and animated. But, given they’re looking to really make their service succeed, it’s not a complete stretch…but I can’t help but worry this is a sign they’re relying to heavily on their characters. After all, we’ve seen the diminishing returns their Netflix shows have had. Would a huge investment in a Rocket and Groot show be warranted? I’m sure some folks much smarter than me are assessing that right now.
