Just a couple days back, we reported on a rumor from Collider Movie Talk and Collider Heroes panelist and host Jon Schnepp. He stated that Spider-Man would be coming to the upcoming Venom film, and the internet went nuts. However, in the most recent episode of Collider Heroes, Jon Schnepp went on to clarify his statements.

Here’s what Schnepp said:

“Tom Holland was on set filming scenes on Venom for at least two days as Peter Parker. Okay, so I’m not saying Spider-Man is in the film. When I say Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is in the film, I’m saying Peter Parker is in the film.”

Same thing, right? Almost. So while we will be seeing Tom Holland playing Peter Parker in this thing, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be donning the Spider-Man outfit in it.

Honestly, from my perspective, this ain’t really that big of a difference. Sure, the big selling point is for a movie is that Spidey outfit, but beneath that mask, the most important thing is the actor who takes on the role, and Holland’s Peter Parker is still very much Spider-Man.

Regardless, nothing has changed. Should this rumor be true, it still connects the universes in an undeniable way, and creates an ever-growing web of relationships that make up the MCU.

But that’s just me. What do you think? Is Peter Parker simply not enough? Do you really want to Spidey suit? Let us know down below!
